Hyundai Cars is a Korean automobile manufacturer that has carved out a niche for its self in the automobile industry. It is a newcomer in the American market but has been able to carve out a position for itself in the short time that it has been around.
The Hyundai Cars Company has a product that is made up of different kinds of models and SUVs and they provide the buyer with a good amount of quality at the lowest possible rate. Hyundai Cars was started by its founder Chung Ju Yung in the year 1947. Just after a few months the unit was bombed. But, it was able to bounce back and reclaim its position as a Korean car manufacturer beyond compare.
In the year 1968, Hyundai Cars went ahead to sign a contract with Ford Motors. This was a two year contract and brought about a new age technology to the cars manufactured by Hyundai Motors. The next year Hyundai Cars were being exported to international markets.
The US market was entered in the year 1986 by Hyundai Cars. This was with the super compact small car model called Excel. The car was liked by the buyers and there were more buyers queuing up for the car than actually expected. The main USP of this car was that it was extremely affordable and came with the best of technology at the same time. Within a period of just seven months a record number of cars were sold in the American market.
By the year 1988, Hyundai Cars was manufacturing cars by using their very own technology. This was the birth of the new car Sonata which was a mid-sized compact car with the same kind of quality, performance and reliability that all the Hyundai Cars offered and promised.
However, somewhere down the line the cars made by Hyundai Cars were not able to uphold the brand image that they had so very painstakingly built up for themselves. The poor durability and sturdiness of the car was what did them in. However, the Hyundai Cars company quickly took measures to rectify this and therefore brought about a turning around of the fortunes of the company. They began to offer cars of great value at lower costs.
