After the war, the SS symbol and logo was dropped as it was synonymous with Nazi Germany. Then came about the new offering from Jaguar Cars which was Mark V. this was a luxury sedan. The next year XK 120 which was an all out sports car was introduced. This was one of the fastest of cars to run at that point of time. also, this car proved to be really popular and ensured that the Jaguar Cars were able to mark their presence in the market.

Then by the time the years 1950s came about Jaguar Cars were already being exported to the American shores and this time round as great luxury vehicles. Then, came about the Mark VII Saloon which was a car that had been specially created for the American market! This was the car that had many buyers and it was time for Jaguar Cars to realize that it had a great winner on its hands. That is when the new range of cars which were Mark VIII and Mark IX were rolled out of the assembly line.

The 1960s was the time for the launch of the Jaguar Cars best known model so far. It was the E-type Coupe or it was also called the XK-E. This car became extremely popular in the US within a really short span of time. It came to the buyer packaged just right and also with the right mix of great performance and quality materials that brought about a great kind of sophistication about it. The Jaguar Cars of this genre were seeped in British culture and that is another reason why they became extremely popular.

Over the years, the sales of the Jaguar Cars steadily dropped and there was no end to it financial woes. In the year 2008 it had to sell the car manufacturing unit to an Indian company called Tata Motors.
