The company later on had to struggle with a whole lot of financial difficulties and therefore had to merge with Korea's major automaker which is Hyundai. This was in the year 1998. This was a good deal as since that happened KIA Cars have been faring well.
The merger has brought about the coming together of two car manufacturing giants and this offers the best of cars to the buyer.
