Then came about, the light van was another extremely successful offering from Subaru Cars. Then there was the advent of the car Leone which was GL/DL. It was introduced as a sedan and then very soon there was the introduction of the coupe and station wagon as well. This was the very first time that Subaru Cars were used for outdoor sports and they gained great popularity with their customer base. 1977 saw the introduction of the Brat which was on the GL lines. This was a small Subaru Car and had the most fantastic of pick-ups to it. Also, it came along with a new outdoor type of design and the right kind of rugged looks to it.
